Sailing In SoCal
Shannon’s Uncle took us sailing out of Mission Bay north of San Diego today. First time on a sailboat in the ocean for us all. Shannon took the rudder tacking us out of the harbor while i worked the lines, all under the direction of her skilled uncle. We passed sea lions and a few dolphins but the best part of all was learning some basics of sailing and actually making it on to the ocean.
The seas rolled the boys to a pale shade of green but we made it back in without pushing them to the point of christening Uncle Kevin’s boat… thank goodness. Despite their off keel stomachs they had a blast.
Capped the day off with a wander down the main drag of Ocean Beach.
