This past weekend was the two day SCA Statewide Championship, Minnesota’s largest chess tournament of the year with over 300 individuals and 50 teams in K-3 and Elementary categories. Our K-3 team came in 5th overall and can be seen here hoisting the all important hardware that came with that achievement. The Elementary team took home a Regional Best trophy with a 11th place overall finish. Both Tanner and Jaydens scores qualified to contributed to the overall final team scores.
With Jayden moving on to Middle School next year this was his last Zachary Lane Elementary team tournament, going out on a high-note with much to celibate and many great memories.
