Jayden competed in his first Chess Tournament this month and did very well! The group he played in was K-3 and being in first grade himself it made for some really tough competition, he played 5 matches, 2 wins – 1 draw – 2 losses overall placing him as the best first grader and in the top third of the 40 some overall kids that participated. Next weekend he will be in the State Tournament against his grade level only but it is the State Tournament so i am sure it will bring out some very talented kids. More important is he really loves it!
